In 1994, Inuit in Canada’s four land claims settlement regions formed the Pan Arctic Inuit Logistics Corporation (PAIL), committed to initiating and developing economic opportunities for Inuit to promote the financial self-sufficiency of Inuit individuals and communities.

NGC owns 16 percent of PAIL, which is a partnership between Inuit Business Corporations from the four Inuit Regions and ATCO Structures (Nasittuq Corporation).
