The airline is an active player in the charter, cargo, and outfitting camp operations through its fixed-wing and helicopter operation.
Construction
Nunatsiavut Construction Inc. (NCI) is one of the region’s primary construction companies, having successfully completed projects in all regions of Labrador. NCI’s capabilities extend along its three divisions. It specializes in building construction and renovation, light civil engineering such as site preparation and grubbing, and aggregate production through its quarry operations.
Adventure Tourism
NGC Solutions Inc. (NSI) operates Base Camp near Torngat Mountains National Park in collaboration with Air Borealis. The partnership has provided a stellar level of service to discriminating adventure tourists, including development of a program featuring Inuit cultural performance and entertainment, Indigenous-themed food, and expert excursion leadership in a beautiful but wild and challenging environment.
Fisheries
NGC, through the Labrador Inuit Capital Strategy Trust, has access to substantial Atlantic and Greenland Halibut quotas through its ownership of Nuluak Fisheries. The Trust also owns quotas of Northern shrimp. NGC continues to explore new fisheries opportunities.
Marine
Nunatsiavut Marine Inc. (NMI) has been a key player in the coastal marine service for more than a decade. Since 2019, NMI has been providing shore side services, including warehouse management, loading, and reservations services to the contractor for the coastal marine service. NMI specializes in heavy barge lifting through its majority interest in Integrated Nunatsiavut Logistics (INL).
Mining
NGC is building on more than two decades of involvement in Labrador’s mining industry. Majority-owned Torngait Services Inc. (TSI) has been part of the Vale nickel project beginning with installation and maintenance of accommodations during construction. TSI has been site services provider at the mine since 2005, supplying a full range of services, including road and airstrip maintenance, fuel delivery, transporting workers and providing aircraft ground services, transportation of ore from the mine to the dock, warehouse services, and assisting with ship and barge loading and unloading.
