(Happy Valley-Goose Bay) – Chris Webb, President and CEO of the Nunatsiavut Group of Companies, thanked Labrador Inuit Capital Strategy Trust Chair Clint Davis for his leadership of the group, and wished him well as he takes up a new position with Nunasi Corporation in Iqaluit on March 31.

Clint became chair of the Trust in 2009. The Nunatsiavut Group of Companies reports through the Trust to the Nunatsiavut Assembly.

“Clint’s guidance and business leadership have been instrumental factors in NGC’s growth and development,” says Webb. “He has helped me become an effective CEO and his business skills has assisted the growth of our companies for the benefit of all Nunatsiavut Beneficiaries. We will miss his enormous contribution to NGC. We wish Clint well in his new role as President and CEO of Nunasi Corporation.”

The Nunatsiavut Group of Companies involves more than a dozen wholly-owned companies and partnerships. NGC is active in vital areas of the Nunatsiavut and Labrador economy, including aviation, marine transportation, construction, real estate, logistics, as well as site services and other activities at the Voisey’s Bay mine site. NGC employs in excess of 500 people, about half of whom are Nunatsiavut Beneficiaries.
